CO-OWNERS/PHOTOGRAPHERS

Charlie, a NC native, UNC graduate, pilot, and photographer, founded SkySite Images in 1999 with the goal of providing superior aerial and commercial photography along with personalized service to his clients. With over 25 years of experience, Charlie is a leader in his field, having worked with hundreds of clients across the country in varying sectors of industry and government. Karla, an Oakland University graduate, joined the SkySite Team as Project Director, and now also serves as COO. Using her managerial expertise and organizational skills, she keeps SkySite projects running smoothly. Charlie and Karla reside in Raleigh, where they enjoy exploring their beautiful home state of North Carolina.

 

Charlie’s images show a fascination with technique, color, symmetry, light, and composition. Whether shooting a multifamily property, a construction site, a historical building, or a downtown aerial at dusk, Charlie gives each project the same intense focus and expertise.   • Though we are based in Raleigh, NC, we provide nationwide coverage. While we do most of our work in North and South Carolina, we have traveled across the United States for our clients.

  • Pricing for photography varies depending on a number of factors. Since every client need is unique, we offer custom photography services. Whether you need airplane aerials, drone aerials, construction progress photography or video, project documentation, or ground-based architectural photography, please contact us and we will provide a custom quote designed specifically for you and your project.

  • We can deliver your photos via e-mail at any size and resolution you need. We either attach them to an email or send you a link to click and download larger files. We use the highest resolution professional cameras combined with the world’s best lenses. The quality will amaze you!

  • There is no limit to the size of print that we can produce. If an image is too large to print in one piece, we produce multiple panels and install them on a wall as one, seamless image. If you have a conference room wall that is 12 feet by 16 feet, we can fill it with an aerial image! If you are in the Raleigh area, we will drop off the prints at your office or job site at no extra charge.

  • For airplane aerials, we fly a Cessna 172 “Skyhawk”. For very low level aerial photography (between 10-200 feet above the ground), we use a drone. If we feel that using a drone to capture aerial photos or video will provide better results for you, we will mention this and discuss the details with you.

  • We use Canon and Nikon professional digital cameras and the world’s best lenses. The quality of this equipment cannot be matched. To see for yourself, Contact Us to receive a sample full resolution digital file.

  • Each photo mission is unique. We may be familiar with your site and need very little information, or we may need to get detailed location information from you. Our Site Locator Map will help you pinpoint the right area for us, or Contact Us directly.
